Job Description

The Stratford School of Interaction Design and Business in the Faculty of Arts at the University of Waterloo is seeking an exceptional teacher for a three-year definite-term appointment at the rank of Lecturer with an anticipated start date of December 1, 2021.

 

The University of Waterloo Stratford School offers two academic programs: the Bachelor of Global Business and Digital Arts, where students explore the methods, meanings, impacts, and futures of digital and interaction design in heterogeneous global business contexts, and the Master of Digital Experience Innovation program, where students explore new forms of design innovation that emerge through the intersections between business and digital technologies using applied management to solve complex challenges.

 

The successful candidate will have teaching responsibilities in these programs as well as service and administrative duties.  Applicants should be able to demonstrate a commitment to experiential learning as well as experience and excellence in teaching in at least two of the following areas: global business, business management and leadership, innovation and entrepreneurship, business finance, and marketing. An MBA or Master’s degree in one of the areas listed is a minimum requirement.

The salary range for this position at the rank of Lecturer rank is $90,000 - $115,000.  Negotiations beyond this salary range will be considered for exceptionally qualified candidates.
